My husband, Krishnan Gopalan—Krish to friends and Suresh to family—was a natural storyteller. He had a way of turning everyday moments into stories, infusing them with humor, adventure, and warmth. 

He started writing these stories during the pandemic and went on to write several poems and one screenplay.

Krish was my constant supporter, encouraging my art in countless ways—even building a studio where my work could take shape.

Venu’s Tales brings together memories from his childhood in Srirangam, told through the eyes of a young boy named Venu. The illustrations for these stories were made incorporating all the little details he could remember and share with me.
